Lopez D Matthews, Jr, PhD, is the Digital Production Librarian for the Howard University Libraries and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Centre. He is also a member of the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture and the Board of Directors of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. He holds a BA in History from Coppin State University in Baltimore, a Masters in Public History, and a PhD in United States History from Howard University.
